Birmingham University G&S Society had an eventful visit to Harrogate last year. The coach driver thought he was taking them to “Highgate” and it was only when they joined the M1 at Watford that the students realised the mistake. Undeterred they turned around and brought an outstanding Patience to the Festival winning Best Male Performer, Best Female Performer, Best Character Actress and the Adjudicator’s special award. This year they return with “The Sorceress.” The more familiar John Wellington Wells becomes Joan Wellington Wells! It will be a show well worth seeing.
